About Us - Food by CPC
(C’est Pas Croyable)
Food by CPC (C’est Pas Croyable) was born out of a need—both for authentic Afro-Caribbean food and for a place where our community could gather, connect, and thrive. Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, our mission began with serving the African and Caribbean communities in Norwich, who, at the time, struggled to find the foods they loved and the sense of togetherness they needed. This is where we stepped in—bringing not only essential food products from Africa and the Caribbean but also fostering a supportive, vibrant community that transcends borders.
Our name, C’est Pas Croyable, means “unbelievable” in French, and it’s a perfect reflection of what we aim to deliver: an unbelievable experience. A place where culture, flavor, and community come together in a way that’s truly extraordinary.
We import high-quality food products directly from the heart of Africa, ensuring that our customers have access to the freshest and most authentic ingredients from African farms, alongside a growing selection of Caribbean staples. But we are much more than a food shop. We are a community hub—a space where we celebrate our rich cultures, encourage the play of African games, and honor our shared values. Food by CPC is a place where the nostalgia of childhood meals and the comforting taste of home meet in a welcoming, family-oriented environment.
We are proud to have become a cornerstone of the Norwich community, with three locations in Anglia Square, Aylsham Road, and Great Yarmouth. All three locations are accessible by wheelchair chair and have parking metres away with free parking at the Aylesham Road site. Our shops are dedicated to serving not only the African and Caribbean populations but anyone who is curious about experiencing the flavors and traditions of Africa. We provide a taste of home and a window into the diverse world of African and Caribbean cultures for all who walk through our doors.
Added to that we bring our smiles to doorsteps in well packaged food baskets with our very reliable delivery services which aims to cater for the needs of our busy customers, aging community members and families who would like to enjoy the joy of our community spirits brought to them.
